    Strange movie recommendations…?
I don’t mean gory horror movies or anything.

I mean, a twisted or just weird movie like
    Tideland,
    Gummo,
    Eraserhead,
    or anything along those lines.

    Thanks. :)
Smiley face isn’t really that weird.

Fight Club was sort of weird but not what I’m looking for.
    I’ve seen Fur…good recommendation.
and I’ve seen Donnie Darko. I’m still trying to figure it out.

If you like Tideland, you’ll REALLY love MirrorMask (2005)…

    Videodrome
    eXistenZ
    Dune
    Pink Flamingos
    Mulholland Drive

Actually, anything directed by David Cronenberg or David Lynch fits the bill, here.

I know I’m not gonna get the "win" cuza that one guy that gave like 30 good answers, but just to help you out:

Naked Lunch - burroughs and cronenberg, cant go wrong
Salo - considered one of the most twisted art movies ever
Little Otik - they dig up a stump and adopt it as their baby… and then it starts attacking people… brilliant
Julien Donkey Boy - you may have already seen it based on Gummo, but…
A Scanner Darkly - a little more mainstream than the rest, but I think you’d still like it if you haven’t seen it already
Funny Games - maybe a little bit of a stretch, but this is a director that certainly likes f__cking with his audience…
Apocalypse Now Redux - a classic, but pretty freaking bizarre
The Shining - Kubrick + Horror = yes.
Dead Man - maybe a bit slow compared to the rest, but a pretty offbeat and at TIMES otherworldly art film…
Dogville - YES! About as twisted as a non-violent art movie gets (well non violent for MOST of it :)

that should be a good start
